Aabenraa Golf Club was founded in 2003 and opened the first 9 holes in August 2004. In May 2005, the remaining 9 holes opened after which Aabenraa Golf Club has a superb challenging 18 hole course.

All holes on the course are centered around the large lake which lies at the 9 hole, hole 10 and 11th hole The course is presented naturally into the landscape so that one often comes to traverse hedgerows as part of the course. The greens are undulating and of super quality. Therefore the Course is a challenge for both experienced and new golfers.
